The fourth edition of our fresh and ad-hoc electronic music series will feature a first-time collaboration of Jára Tarnovski and Natálie Pleváková, who will be rehearsing in Punctum before the event, as well as a performance by a Hague-based sonologist Kacper Ziemianin.

~~ Natálie Pleváková ~~
In 2018, Natalie graduated at Janacek Academy of Music and Performance Arts in Brno in the field of Multimedia Composition. Before that, Natalie had completed her studies at the Musicology Department at Masaryk University with a thesis focused on mapping the education in electronic music in the Czech Republic. At MU she also got a BA degree from the Theory of Interactive media. In her work she focuses on compositional strategies of electronic music in the post-digital era as well as searching for innovative strategies to creating and listening to sound. Natalie creates compositions overlapping diverse media and likes to collaborate in theatre and AV arts.

~~ Jara Tarnovski ~~
In addition to Gurun Gurun (Buh Records), Tarnovski also performs solo and with the groups Wabi Experience (Mikroton), IQ+1 (mappa), or in a duo with Mexican multimedia artist Laura Luna Castillo (Genot Centre). He is part of the AV project Telekinetic Assault Group. He also makes music for theatre, field recordings (under the moniker Prosoxi Skylos), and radio documentaries. Tarnovski often collaborates with Japanese musicians including Dustin Wong, Takako Minekawa, aus, and Asuna. He has collaborated with the singer Haco on two albums and toured with her in Japan and Europe. He also published a split with the Italian musician Mai Mai Mai and produced a retrospective 8-CD set by the Czech folk legend Oldřich Janota. He has also performed with Miki Yui, Seth Graham, Black to Comm, Yearning Kru, Dane Law, or Jan Jelinek. Tarnovski is a curator at the small label Jipangu, which focuses on experimental music and sound art.

~~ Kacper Ziemianin ~~
Kacper Ziemianin a.k.a. ‘Ctrl Freq’ has background in classical music and a lot of adventures in modern sound and music. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sonic Arts from Middlsex University, London and Master’s degree in Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, the Netherlands.
Currently based in the Hague, NL working as a freelance instrument designer and performer as well as teacher of DIY electronics. His latest endeavour, the ‘LightSeq’ has received funding from Stimuleringsfonds NL and won an award at an international electronic music festival ‘Radical dB’ in Zaragoza, Spain. His works have been presented in many places across the globe.
Kacper will also lead a workshop on Intro to Arduino synth design in Synth Library the next day, 20.10.2025, starting at 18:30.
